Merely identifying the problem piece and replacing it is hardly enough to qualify a used starter for resale under the Genuine Subaru Warranty. We completely tear down and thoroughly clean every starter we receive to restore it to a like-new, ready-to-start condition. Often, we replace small components like solenoid cover, nuts, and bolts. This helps make sure your new starter is long lasting and is resistant to corrosion. Once the reassembly is complete, the starter is given simulator testing to pass rigid original equipment specifications. The only difference between a remanufactured starter and a new one is that you're paying a lower price.
