Genuine Subaru Remanufactured Parts
When you buy a Genuine Subaru Remanufactured Part, you're getting something that is certified to the same standards as an OEM part but without having to pay as much. Subaru takes back old parts and rebuilds them completely, fixing any damage and restoring any missing or worn-away material. Each remanufactured part must pass inspection to qualify for the Subaru stamp of approval, and is therefore backed by the same Genuine Subaru Parts Limited Warranty that comes with new parts. The only real difference is that you're saving money. You're also helping to support a great alternative to dumping reparable parts in a landfill.
Remanufactured vs. Rebuilt: what's the difference?
When Subaru receives used parts, the restoration process involves disassembling the entire part and inspecting every component for damage. Each broken or unusable piece is replaced, and all components are serviced or replaced. As the failed or worn-out Subaru part, known as a "core," is reassembled, it is tested to ensure it passes the same requirements as a new Subaru part at every step. The remanufactured part must meet the same tolerances and specifications as brand new Genuine Subaru Parts.
