What Are Tire Services I Need?

We all know tires are what keeps you moving, and there's a few basic services and things to be mindful of so you can keep a routine tire maintenance schedule.

First, there's tire rotations. It's a good idea to rotate your tires every 6,000 to 8,000 miles as this helps evenly distribute the tread wear, so you'll have a set that lasts longer. It's a simple service that we can do for you easily so your tires provide many miles of quality driving before you need a new set.

When exactly would you need a new set of tires? In the case of blown out tires or those with punctures, you'll need a replacement right away. But, the most common way a tire wears down is through the treads. The longer your drive on a set the more the tread wears. You'll notice it when you see your tires are smoothed out around treads as they are not as deep as they were before. You can easily test your tire tread level if you take a penny and put the head downward into a tire tread. If you can see all or most of the head that means it's time for new tires. If the head is covered by tread, you can still drive on them

Other tire services include having your tire pressure maintained so your tires have enough air and are at the right levels, while a wheel alignment which works to bring the axles and suspension into line also benefit your tires because it works to have them evenly touch the road for better efficiency.
