The Subaru Legacy has been redesigned for 2015, giving it a bolder, more powerful look and a number of fantastic new amenities. It's available in four trim levels: 2.5i, 2.5i Premium, 2.5i Limited, and 3.6R Limited. The exterior comes with features like projector-beam halogen low-beam headlights (or HID low-beam headlights), black or body-color folding side mirrors (with available integrated turn signal), two-speed windshield wipers, aerodynamic side ground effects, and much more. The interior is spacious and comfortable, with a variety of amazing standard and available convenience features, including power accessories, steering-wheel-mounted audio and cruise controls, transmission paddle shifters, dual USB ports, heated front seats (standard on all but 2.5i), heated rear seats (standard on 2.5i Limited and 3.6R Limited), dual-zone climate control (standard on all but 2.5i, which has manually adjustable air conditioning), and a variety of infotainment system choices, from the basic four-speaker system to a voice-activated GPS navigation system with twelve Harman Kardon speakers.
2015 Subaru Legacy Performance Information
With the 2015 Subaru Legacy, you get to choose one of two engines. The 2.5i, 2.5i Premium, and 2.5i Limited, come with a 2.5-liter Subaru Boxer four-cylinder engine that's paired with Lineartronic continuously variable transmission with six-speed manual mode and paddle shifters. This engine beautifully balances power and fuel efficiency: it produces 175 horsepower and 174 pound-feet of torque while still getting up to 36 highway mpg! If you prefer to have more power, the 3.6R Limited comes with a 3.6-liter Subaru Boxer six-cylinder engine, also paired with Lineartronic CVT. This engine produces an impressive 256 horsepower and 247 pound-feet of torque! The four-wheel independent suspension and quick ratio power steering give the Legacy impressive handling and response, and make it a pleasure to drive.
2015 Subaru Legacy Safety Information
The 2015 Subaru Legacy is an exceptionally safe car. If you are in a collision, you'll be protected by passive safety features like dual-stage deployment airbags, Subaru advanced frontal airbag system, side curtain airbags, front seat side pelvis/torso airbags, driver and front passenger seat cushion airbags, height- and tilt-adjustable front seat head restraints, rear height-adjustable head restraints, height-adjustable three-point front seatbelts, rear three-point seatbelts, LATCH, brake override system, collapsible steering column, and a ring-shaped reinforcement frame. These are all designed to protect you, but the active safety features work hard to make sure that the passive features will never have to be put to the test. These include four-wheel ABS, brake assist, vehicle dynamics control, traction control system, tire pressure monitoring system, daytime running lights, and rear-vision camera. Blind spot detection/rear cross-traffic is available on the 2.5i Premium trim level, and standard on the 2.5i Limited and 3.6R Limited. Available on the 2.5i Premium, 2.5i Limited, and 3.6R Limited is EyeSight. EyeSight is a driver assist system that combines adaptive cruise control, pre-collision braking, and lane departure/sway warning. When it's equipped with EyeSight, the 2015 Subaru Legacy earns a superior rating in crash avoidance by IIHS.
